Home to the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), some of the best fitness studios and restaurants in the country, and popup performances and retail, the Seaport offers residents and visitors countless opportunities to enrich oneself. Read on below for seasonal happenings that provide elements that inspire a healthy, well-rounded lifestyle along the waterfront.

Enrich through the Arts

As fall approaches, explore the neighborhood inside: located right next to PIER 4, the ICA’s Free Thursday Nights provide a chance to experience a constantly-evolving assortment of artwork by renowned artists from across the country. Indulge in creativity this fall and winter with thought provoking exhibits.

For more exhibits, walk to the Society of Arts & Crafts located at 100 PIER 4. Up next: Adorning Boston and Beyond: Contemporary Studio Jewelry Then + Now (November 8, 2018 – February 16, 2019).

On Tuesday, September 25 at 6 PM, don’t miss the Boston Ballet in Seaport at One Seaport. On the program: an interpretation of West Side Story and a brand-new work of choreography.

Fuel the Body and Mind

Boston Magazine named the Seaport as one of the nation’s wellness capitals two years ago, and the neighborhood continues to live up to this reputation with more popup fitness classes, healthy eateries, and fitness studios.

The neighborhood is home to Equinox, Core Power Yoga, SoulCycle, Blue Mercury, and more, and the extremely popular workout series Seaport Sweat on Seaport Common, which features some of the city’s most motivational fitness instructors.

Shop Local

From now until November 8, Community Supported Agriculture is in the Seaport bringing fresh veggies from Trustees Farms to District Hall.

Seaport is also home to a farmer’s market on Seaport Common which will continue until October 25. This seasonal market features four local producers including Stillman’s Farm meat & produce, Red’s Best seafood, and Mamadou’s bread.

In addition, don’t miss The Current on Seaport Boulevard. This pop-up village with a permanent presence, hosts retailers connected by a common theme that changes periodically. The current theme is She Village. Stop by for fashions from the females changing the retail game.

Take a Culinary Adventure

The Seaport is an ideal place to indulge, and experience some of the best dining Boston has to offer. The neighborhood is home to an array of cuisines, from Italian to Asian fusion to classic comfort food and BBQ, and Mediterranean and more.

This weekend, the Innovation and Design Building will welcome America’s Test Kitchen – Boston EATS Festival. The event features demos from the show’s stars, as well as delicious samples from some of Boston’s best chefs.
