Tishman Speyer Executes 3,629-SF Lease at PIER 4 with Tatte Bakery & Café

PIER 4 will be home to Tatte’s Seaport location

BOSTON – February 1, 2018 – Tishman Speyer today announced that it has secured a 3,629- square-foot lease with Tatte Bakery & Café at PIER 4 in Boston’s Seaport District. The Boston favorite will open on the ground-floor of the PIER 4 office building and contribute to the development’s approximately 40,000-square-feet of retail. With their famous pastries, breads, breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, Tatte will bring a new local and convenient dining option to the Seaport and the PIER 4 community.

Tatte will take 3,629-square-feet at the PIER 4 office building, a 13-story, 370,000-square-foot building designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, which will be home to Boston Consulting Group, one of the world’s leading management consulting firms, and Cengage, an educational content, technology, and services company for higher education, K-12, professional, and library markets worldwide. The PIER 4 development also includes an ultra-luxury, waterfront boutique, nine-story condominium building that is currently pre-selling homes.  Designed by SHoP in collaboration with the Boston-based design firm CBT, the condominium building is set back from Seaport Boulevard, and surrounded by water on all three sides.

Or started Tatte in 2007, baking 20 hours a day in her home kitchen and selling her delicious creations to Boston farmers’ markets. After only one summer, Tatte expanded to its first brick-and-mortar bakery in Brookline, MA, and will soon boast nine locations throughout Greater Boston. Tatte’s cookies, cakes, tarts, and pastries owe their unique look and exceptional flavor to carefully sourced raw ingredients, Or’s culinary artistry, and a passionate and talented team of people who love baking.

When completed, PIER 4 will be a picturesque destination with sweeping views of Boston Harbor and adjacent to the Institute of Contemporary Art. The site will be complemented by a lush one-acre park, sea steps, and an extension of the Harbor Walk.

Or’s lease follows Tishman Speyer’s announcement of restaurateur Kristin Canty’s 6,866- square-foot lease at the PIER 4 residential building. Canty is well-known for Woods Hill Table, an organic restaurant located in Concord, MA, that sources all its ingredients from Canty’s The Farm at Woods Hill in Bath, NH, and other small purveyors. She will deliver the Seaport’s first farm-to-table restaurant at PIER 4.
